Cantilevered Sliding Gate System

The Gated Solutions Cantilevered Sliding Gate System is based upon the principles of modular engineering and counter balancing.

Our cantilever gate system is engineered with a strong emphasis on safety and robustness construction to ensure many years of reliable performance.

In each gate system there are three important mechanical modules. When brought and bolted together these modules form one unit.

The modules of the gate system are:

• The gate leaf
• The gate back rail and end post
• The gate main support tower

When bolted together, the main tower and the back rail form the main support and rolling platform for the gate leaf. The gate leaf is then attached to this platform with a series of back trolley rollers. These rollers, when bolted on, lock the sliding gate leaf within the confines of the gate back rail.

The Cantilever Gate System is then bolted to a engineered approved concrete footing so to provide adequate counter weight to system when in the closed position. The combination of sound gate design and the weight of the concrete footing will prevent the gate leaf from tipping or sagging over the relevant road opening and in affect travelling in free air.

Road widths of up to 10-metres spanned by a single gate are standard within our standard product range. The Gated Solutions Slide Gate System requires no road wheels, rails, tracks or overhead support mechanisms.

Our cantilever gates are designed for true industrial applications and always characterised by high usage rates. Our three-phase brake motor, quality PLC logic, frequency inverter and proximity sensors form an important part of the advanced technologies used in all our cantilever sliding gate designs.

Our main support and rolling platform is well balanced and provides smooth and efficient operations. Our standard cantilever designs operate at variable speeds which may be adjusted from our standard of 600 mm per second gate travel to a high performance one metre per second.

Like all cantilever gate designs, it’s not affected by road crowns, kerbs and falls for drainage in roads. As most of the associated civil works to install a cantilever gate are performed off to the side of the road, inconvenient and annoying roadway closures are almost eliminated.

Technical Specifications

Metal Work

• Gate leaf and back rail and end post are hot dip galvanised.
• Main support/equipment tower, and gate infill panel is painted. Variations to colour are available.
• Sheet metal items are manufactured from pre-galvanised material or treated steel and painted.
• The standard gate system design is 100mm x 100mm, RHS frames and posts with 25mm pickets set at 125mm centres. The gate height is 2200mm, the erected height will be 2350mm, and the gate equipment tower erected height is 2500mm.

Brake Motor and Gearbox

• Elevated motor gearbox position, industrial grade, 3-phase .75kW, 100% duty cycle. Up to 2HP motor rating up to 1000mm/sec gate travel.
• Ratchet style manual release override for motor & gearbox.

Electrical

• Controls and logic are housed in quality painted IP56 rated electrical cabinet (stainless steel or ploy also available as non standard items).
• Industrial quality power supply, frequency inverter, and GPO etc.
• Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), fully programmable frequency inverter.

Safety Systems

• Industrial quality inductive loop detector to ensure reliable vehicle safety.
• Flashing warning light.
• Audible buzzer.
